Nandi Institute of Technology and Management Sciences, Bangalore: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Nandi Institute of Technology and Management Sciences, abbreviated as NITMS, was set up in the year of 2007 in Bangalore of Karnataka. NITMS occupies a large area of 10 acres of land and encompasses a wide spectrum of engineering and managerial education. The institute is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which confirms its quality and acting within a guidelines of the national level. Atpresent, faculty members at NITMS comprise dedicated fifty professionals who works to bring a qualitative learning space for students.

This has been accompanied by development of facilities that aim at making the student experience at the institute fulfilling. The library, one of the main resources of the college, contains more than 15 000 books, 50 printed magazines and 500 CDs. It also contains DELNET and VTU Consortium for e-resource and is completely automated by using Libsoft software. NITMS has accommodation for students that provides an individual hostel for boys’ and girls’ with the accommodation capacity of 80 students. The dormitories have facilities that are appropriate and necessity items, these features are water and power supply within 24 hours, internet connectivity, and study rooms. The college cafeteria is another area that students and faculty can relax and interact before moving to the next class.

NITMS offers a total of six courses across two degree programmes, BE and MBA stands for Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Business Administration. The BE programme offers degree with majors in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Information Science and Engineering. All courses are full time and while the BE programmes are a four year degree, the MBA is a two year programme. In every course, there is a recommended number of intake of sixty students approved to improve the learning process by controlling the large congestion at the institute.

To make sure that all students at NITMS are admitted based on their performances, the admission process is both comprehensive and merit-centric. For BE programmes, the institute considers the COMEDK UGET, the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test. To get admission to MBA, the candidates need to take the Karnataka PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) for aspiring MBA students. These entrance exams help the institute filter out talent and determine the kind of motivated students it will produce in future.
