Camped on 5 acres, the college comprises of a wide variety of nursing programmes and has over three hundred forty enrolled students. The institute is staffed by 40 faculty members, and therefore, the ratio of students to teachers allows the institute to provide quality education. There are 8 general college courses and provide four levels of degrees in nursing with focus that makes the college a centre for nursing education in the area.

The National College of Nursing prefers to offer its students a comfortable learning environment, as well as relevant facilities. The college has a well stocked library to cater for the knowledge needs of students and has various nursing literature and documents. Girls as well as boys who need to be accommodated are provided with separate hostels that have security, separate mess and are secured at all times. The college provides complete course in nursing for both under graduate and post graduate level. The course that are taught in the college include B.Sc Nursing, Post B.Sc Nursing, General Nursing and midwifery (GNM) and M.Sc Nursing specialising in Medical Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics & Gynecological Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing and Community Health Nursing. All these programmes are full time courses that are offered to enable students gain comprehensive knowledge and skills in nursing. On total, the student enrollment in all courses is 340 and the maximum enrolment is in the B.Sc Nursing course which is 60.
