Course Overview

With the growth of the Internet of Things and the rapid drop in the price of IoT components, people are getting the opportunity to innovate new designs and products at home. The Internet of Things programme is a specialisation course that aims to teach the students about the importance of the Internet of Things in society and its current components. 

Other than IoT basics, the candidates will learn about the necessary electronic circuits and their components. They will learn how to work with Keypad, LCD and serial communication. They will be introduced to web-servers and will learn about the installation and configuration of web servers. In the Internet of Things, course by NIELIT application-based learning is promoted by introducing projects and case studies in the curriculum. 

The Internet of Things online course duration is four weeks. Classes and live discussion sessions will be held in online mode only. Upon successfully completing the course, the candidate will receive a certificate of participation once they meet the required eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate will be eligible for the Internet of Things programme if they are undergraduate students who have prior knowledge of at least one programming language. 

Moreover, to be eligible for the digitally signed Internet of Things certificate, the candidate must complete the programme and have at least 80% attendance in the classes. A physical certificate will also be issued and dispatched by NIELIT Chandigarh which the candidates will receive once they meet all the required eligibility criteria.

Admission Details

Follow the procedure given below to take admission in the Internet of Things programme:

1. Visit the official web-page of NIELIT Chandigarh – www.nielit.gov.in/chandigarh/.

2. Choose the course you want to participate in, in this case, “Internet of Things” certification course.

3. Fill out the registration application form.

4. Submit the registration form along with your photograph, signature, and thumb impression.

5. Pay the registration fee and the course fee and proceed with the course. 

Application Details

During registration with NIELIT, the candidates have to fill a registration application form. Candidates must provide their relevant details, and their photograph, thumb impression and signature while submitting the application form. After the registration process is complete, the candidates must submit the following documents:

A self-attested 10th class certificate, Aadhaar card, a passport size photograph, the correspondence address and the result sheet of the highest qualification that the candidate has achieved.

1: Is the mode of learning online?

The Internet of Things programme is taught online, with live discussions and assignments.

2: I am an undergraduate level student. Will I be able to do the Internet of Things course?

Since you are an undergraduate student, you will be able to do the Internet of Things course by NIELIT. However, you must know at least one programming language. 

3: What should I submit along with my registration form?

You must submit your photograph, signature and your thumb impression while you submit your application form. 

4: How will I check the status of my registration?

You will be able to check your registration status by supplying the application number that you had been assigned after you submitted your application form.
