OER are basically openly licensed educational materials available online. The OER & Open Education Practices certification course has been designed with the objective to offer teachers the aid of freely available instructional materials. The OER & Open Education Practices online training is conducted by the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chennai. Evaluation process

Teachers interested in obtaining accreditation for the OER & Open Education Practices online program must register and appear for the final-term, proctored exam conducted at the designated exam centres. The details regarding the exam centres, modes of payment, the cities in which the exams will be conducted, etc., will be available in the online registration URL published by Swayam towards the end of the course.
