Nehru College was established in 1965 as a co-educational institution located at Cachar, Assam. Nehru College spans 3 acres of land as an affiliated college with undergraduate courses in humanities. Nehru College has been accredited by NAAC and imparted education for over half a century now. The college provides an ideal environment for learning and development with a total student enrolment of 1,930 and a faculty strength of 13. The institute offers 7 courses under 2 degrees focusing on the various streams in arts and humanities. 

All these facilities were in place to make Nehru College a more perfect institution for the students. All academic requirements are met with Central Library containing more than 13,000 books and a number of newspapers, journals, and periodicals.
