Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya (NSM) was established in 1979, is located at Udaipur, Gomoti, Tripura and earning reputation as one of the successful educational institutions in this area. This affiliated college which is situated in a 4.62 acres area is NAAC accredited body approved. NSM presently has 28 courses spread across 10 degrees Programs and enrols 4,250 students with 47 faculty members. A degree and diploma offering institution with diversified courses in arts, science and commerce at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. NSM’s primary concern of providing quality education is reflected in its curriculum that is well development and touches all round development or the child.

The institute is equipped with a variety of facility aimed at improving the learning and personal development of students. Combining both, central and departmental libraries, AIT has over 26,506 books which located in library helping students and faculty. Science tuition seekers find in NSM well-equipped Laboratories in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics &Statistics, Botany Human Physiology, Zoology & Computer Science. Su also stresses on sports amenities with having gymnasium and sports grounds available for the college. 

In order to address the requirements of out station students, NSM provides facilities of hostels where 50 seat tribal scheduled tribe male students can accommodate and special facility for tribal female students. This campus of the universities is facilitated with modern day campus facilities like Information Technology; the Computer Science laboratory has 30 LAN connected PCs. There are also a canteen facility and parking area, and a training and placement section through which students and graduates can find their ideal places of work.

Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya aiming at meeting a variety of educational needs provides a range of academic disciplines. The college has mounted 28 courses, which includes full time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Within the arts stream of NSM, the following BA programs with majors are provided: Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Political Science, Education, History, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, Kok Borok – an ethnic language of Tripura. The stream of B.Sc comprises Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Human Physiology, Zoology, and Chemistry with majors. 

For commerce lovers the college provides the courses of B.Com and B.Com (Honors). Besides, courses such as BBA and BCA are self-financed as a part of NSM which focuses on students wishing management and computer applications. The college also awards a Diploma in Computer Application. At the postgraduate level Master of Arts in Bengali and English programmes are offered. The figures of students admitted in all the courses combined also show a high figure, turning the institute capable of housing many student across several courses.
