Nimapara Autonomous College, Puri, also abbreviated as NAC is an education hub that was started in 1963. Serving nearly six decades, this affiliated college is situated in the historic city of Puri, Odisha. Located on a huge land area of 16.48 acres, the college has however to received accreditation from the NAAC for its capacity to produce quality education. NAC provides choice of 15 courses spread across 7 degree programmes to its students enrolled are 2905 with 75 faculty members. This makes its educational activities diverse since it is a co-educational institution.

The college possesses many facilities, which are accessible in order to improve the quality of learning. This rich resource centre is home to a comprehensive collection of 30,217 volumes, and provides much-needed information common to students and research scholars. Some elements of IT infrastructure are a computer laboratory where 50 systems are available for students and teachers. The college also provides a different accommodation for boys and girls’ hostels, it has 40 and 75 capacities respectively to provide accommodation for students who want hostels.

Nimapara Autonomous College provides a complete course matrix of 15 courses that include only full-time programmes. They include combinations of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, hons programmes in various disciplines. The college’s offerings are humanities, science and commerce streams, this means that through this college, students have various ways on which they can be educated. 

It is also important to understand that the college admission has been laid down in such a way that it’s very much inclusive and follows merit. As much as it regards the details of the general admission process, it is important to note that for specialised programmes such as B.Sc Industrial Fish and Fisheries (Self-Finance), the minimum requirement for admission is passing of the Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) or an equivalent examination and producing a science stream certificate. This implies that the college has standard vocational requirements for it various courses offered.
