Nirmal Haloi College, Barpeta, was established in 1979. The college is co-educational and presents itself in the city of Patacharkuchi in the state of Assam. The 6-acre college campus contains a broad-based number of bachelor degree programs along with diploma courses. It is affiliated with NAAC, containing a total capacity of 1,625 students and a faculty strength of 38 members. 

 A central library named after Harendra Nath Sarma and Chakradhar ; holding a collection about 14,000 titles, including text books, references, theses, encyclopedias, magazines, journals and news papers. The sports facilities are meant to accommodate sports enthusiasts, while an infrastructure created for events and seminars has the help of an auditorium and laboratories for each department that complements academic studies on the campus. 

Nirmal Haloi College offers full-time undergraduate degree programs and diploma courses. This college provides up to 17 courses in disciplines having popular choices in their BA, along with a number of specialisations as options; B.Com. , along with many other diploma courses such as Computer Application, Creative Writing in English, and Audit and Accounts, among others. One of its programs has a maximum intake, for the BA Day Shift, the college has a total of 300. Even the rest of the numbers pale in comparison. BA has 200 while B.Com has a meager 50.
