Nittur Polytechnic is a private technical education institution that was established in 1986. The college is affiliated with the Directorate of Technical Education, Bangalore (DTE) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Nittur Polytechnic Bidar offers three-year diploma courses such as Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering and Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering. 

Nittur Polytechnic Bidar's eligibility criteria for admission to the diploma courses are based on merit in previous qualifying examinations.
