One of the eminent institutions in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, established in the year 2007, NRI College of Pharmacy is located in Agiripalli. The institution is a co-education affiliated college with approval from the PCI and offers quality pharmaceutical education. The college sprawls over 20 acres of land, has a total intake of 314 students, and a faculty strength of 32 members. NRI College of Pharmacy imparts 4 courses in 2 different degrees at the PG and UG levels, respectively, in various pharmaceutical disciplines. There is also a Training and Placement Cell that guides the students toward their career-building process.
NRI College of Pharmacy runs a total of 4 courses, all full-time. These include one undergraduate course – B.Pharma – and three postgraduate courses – M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, and Pharmaceutical Analysis. Thus, the total approved intake for all the courses is 145 seats, wherein 100 belong to B. Pharma and 15 to each of the specializations of M. Pharma. This diverse range of courses empowers the student to obtain specializations in the many aspects of pharmacy and prepares one for a rewarding career in the pharmaceuticals industry.
Admissions in NRI College of Pharmacy are done through entrance examinations, so that only merited students get their seat. B.Pharma admissions are done through Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test AP EAMCET. The aspiring postgraduate students have to appear for the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) to enter M.Pharma programs. In this way, these entrance exams test a candidate's aptitude and knowledge of the related subjects so that admission can be kept fair and competitive.
