NSR College of Education, which began in 1972 is one of the premier institutions for educational needs of the newly formed Telangana state. This affiliated college, accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), has been designing the future of prospective teachers for well over fifty years. Located on a 4.8 acres of land, the institute provides intensive learning for the 171 students that it admits. The faculty of NSR College is limited to 8 members and this approach guarantees individual focus and the college focuses on providing effective education in teacher training.

The college comprises some state-of-art facilities that can be of great importance in facilitating a students’ learning. A good reading center is equipped with books, newspapers, journals and magazines which act as reference materials. The campus as we already have mentioned includes departmental laboratories that are significant for training, essential for future teachers. This is in light of a balanced development process through the provision of sporting facilities and gym for physical as well as academic development of students in NSR College. The college insists on having a sound IT structure which will help students update themselves with the current trending development in the education sector.. To support meetings of the local population and students’ assemblies there is a large auditorium. The campus also contain a cafeteria which provides the students with an area to break and necessarily mix after classes.

The flagship programme of NSR College of Education is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme that ranges at the core of the college’s academic programmes. This full time course takes two years to produce competent and passionate educators. The B.Ed programme has an approved intake of 100 which offers a balanced package that covers the knowledge base of teaching alongside the teaching practice. The focus of college to develop professional teachers is seen from the course that must be offered to the students which include Classroom Management Strategies, Educational Psychology, and Emerging Methodologies in Education.

On qualifying examination & /or entrance test as per the policy of State Govt., U.T. Administration & affiliated University the candidates are selected.
