Om Sai College of Education, Shirsoli manned as affiliated college located in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, is a college of education which was set up in the year 2008. Co-educational, this institution is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to maintain certain standards of teacher education. The college occupies a very small area of 0.6417 acres and offers a professional training in teaching. Currently, Om Sai College of Education admit forty students in total and has a faculty of thirty educators including three permanent faculties. This college boasts of the basic necessities that are needed in offering education and encouraging extra-co-curricular activities in College. The sports facilities foster fitness, amongst the students as well as team work and cooperation.

It has departmental based laboratories to expose students to practical session which are very important for future educators. A sound IT support helps students become acquainted with present day learning technologies. The library acts as a learning center that provides students with additional resources to enhance the information obtained in the classroom and with resources to foster own research. Om Sai College of Education currently offers one full-time course: the Bachelors of Education programme (B.ED). This course is spread over two years and this institute has been approved to admit 100 students which shows the capacity of this institute to train and produce a huge number of potential teachers in the future. As a fact the curriculum of B.Ed course is to develop in students overall professional competencies to succeed in the teaching profession. Although the college at the moment only offers this single degree program, it shows the college’s emphasis on specialized education on teaching.

The admission procedure of the Om Sai College of Education enables their students through the results of their merit only, as per rules and regulation of state government, UT administration and the university with which college is affiliated. Fees are decided according to the qualifying or entrance test and merit obtained in the examination. The college may also use other methods of selection as maybe prescribed by the current policies. This way, credit-worthy candidates are provided with an opportunity to turn towards teaching at the institute.
