Omm Muruga College of Education, Cuddalore: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Omm Muruga College of Education is one of the leading self-financing institution of Teacher Education situated at Cuddalore of the Tamil Nadu State of India. This affiliated college was formed in the year 2009 and with the present educational program it was charting out the future educators for more than a decade now. This college spans over 5.29 acres and is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). As a co-educational institution it has the responsibility of teaching students of different gender and ethnicity. Currently enrolment of  47 students and 8 Faculty members, the college has the right student-teacher ratio that ensures interaction and absorption of knowledge.

Vita college has facilities in place to complement the education of the students in the college. The campus includes spacious well equipped classroom to ensure that the learning process is enhanced. To support the students and faculty in their research activities, there is a fully stocked up library. The college also contains laboratories for students exercise and practical experiments. In order to help students have proper physical trainings and to attend and strengthen the spirit of team work, the schools offer sporting facilities. An auditorium is a place for different meetings and seminars; thus it promotes extra curricula activities. Student health is well taken with a medical facility in the college that offers first aid to the learners. Thus, in response to the requirements of the contemporary educational process , the institution has developed outstanding IT resources. A cafeteria at school helps provide meals for both the stuff and learners, which eradicate the herding effect.

Omm muruga College of Education presently offers only one full time course that is the Bachelors in Education or B.ED. This has been offered at two years forming a base for students who wish to have a respectable teaching job. For this course, the college has an approved intake capacity of 50 seats which ensures many who wish to join this stream can easily get a place to study. 

As for the selection criteria at Omm Muruga College of Education, admission is given to the merit hesitant students to confirm to the state government, U.T. administration and the university affiliated policy. Students seeking admission are selected by their results in the qualifying examination and/or the entry examination. The college may also use other screening techniques as may be dictated by the policies of the time. The goal of this balanced approach is to provide those who need the assistance in getting into a teaching university a chance to do so.
