P.K. Roy Memorial College, Dhanbad was set up in 1960, and it is a Constituent College run in the state of Jharkhand in India. Situated on a vast area of 36 acres it is a NAAC accredited educational institution. The college currently has a total of 7,044 students, 4,844 male, and 2,141 female students. Committee has planned to offer 21 courses falling under nine degrees and the academic team of 32 faculty members. P.K. Roy Memorial College is well recognized for offering a vast spectrum of arts, science, and commerce streams at under graduate and post graduate levels.

The main library consists of more than 30, 000 volumes of books and journals while departmental libraries are provided for postgraduate programmes to support courses taught there. The large auditorium can host 400 students for cultural events, amplifying a school culture program; they also have an open-air stage for versatility during the organized events. The college also has well equipped laboratories and’houses for, practicals in the science, stream a sports-bar for physical fitness and a cafeteria for snacks and meal. Female students if from other stations have a private hostel for girls where they can comfortably stay.

The institution offers 21 courses, of these full time undergraduate, post graduate programs are offered. In the undergraduate programme, a student can obtain a degree of Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English, Hindi, Bengali, Philosophy, Urdu etc. Bachelor of Science ( B.Sc ) courses in Botony, Geology, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Computer Science.
