An institution namely the Panchayat Degree college college kantamal was established in the year 1991 and is co-educational college in Boudh Odisha. Located in an area of 10.34 Acres of land this affiliated college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Currently The college has 18 faculty members, and it offers 5 undergraduate programs in two degree levels with focus on Arts stream.

They have a number of amenities that have been developed to facilitate the targeted personal and academic improvement of its students. Every school or college possesses a library, which is regarded as the storehouse of knowledge, and has a rich collection of books and other materials. A ICT center is available to facilitate computer use and students are encouraged to attend all seminar classes to sharpen their presentation skills. There are also well-endogenous laboratories that are periodically renewed depending on the needs of the practitioners. Besides academic activities, the college provides an auditorium for conducting and organizing events such as seminars, a canteen for food. The IT infrastructure allows the students to be connected to the world today despite their learning.

Panchayat Degree College, Kantamal has five full- time undergraduate programs and are all degree programs under the Faculty of Arts. These are BA (General), Bachelor of Education Honours, Bachelor of Arts in Odia Honours, Bachelor of Arts in History Honours, and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science Honours. Each of these programs is intended to allow students to have a good outlook in their chosen areas of study in order to allow them to further their education or go for jobs.

Admission procedure at Panchayat Degree College, Kantamal is also very basic and uncomplicated. Most affiliated colleges are known to operate under the policies of the parent university. 

It also highlights the role of physical educations and sports in the development of each learner in the college. It has their own play ground where students can engage in many activities in sports such as football, cricket, volleyball, badminton, kabaddi and kho-kho. The annual athletic has event such as running race, jumps and throw which serves to foster a healthy spirit of competition among the students.
