Based in Amalner, Maharashtra, and founded in the year 2000, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Social Work, Jalgaon is affiliated to Jalgaon. Being an institution specializing in social work, it grants two degrees: Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work. The campus stretches over 6 acres with a total student enrolment of 479 and a faculty strength of 10. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Social Work runs two full-time courses: undergraduate 3-year BSW, with a capacity of 40 students, and postgraduate 2-year MSW with 60 students. Therefore, the intake capacity for both programs is 100 students. The admission process for Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Social Work varies depending on the program. Admission is given based on the marks in the last examination and a personal interview. In the case of MSW, the process of selection is wider, including a written test of 100 marks on knowledge of social issues and current events and English Language skills. This is followed by a group discussion (50 marks) for assessing the oral communication of the candidates and their clarity regarding the social issues. Thereafter, a personal interview of 50 marks is conducted wherein the candidates are judged on the basis of their awareness about the program of MSW and the domain of social work. Original documents and certificates are to be carried for verification at the time of the interview.
