Parbati Teachers' Training Institute, established in 2014, is located in Burdwan, West Bengal. This affiliated college, under the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), is in the domain of teacher education. This institution has two full-time courses—B.Ed and D.El.Ed.—over a compact campus of 0.98556 acres. With a total student intake of 224 and a faculty strength of 15, ideal conditions for focused learning are provided to the aspiring teachers at Parbati Teachers' Training Institute.

This institution has several facilities provided to the students to enhance their learning process. At the centre of these amenities lies well-stocked facilities with 3500-4000 text and reference books in various subjects. These libraries are thoughtfully divided into reference and lending sections, supplemented by a totally separate reading room for quiet study. In keeping with practical learning, subject-specific laboratories for Physical Science, Life Science, Geography, Psychology, Mathematics, and Educational Technology, including IT, are provided within the college. An ED/ICT Laboratory with state-of-the-art audiovisual tools supplements the technological input in the training of teachers. It also takes care of physical well-being, whereby a gym and a big playground for outdoor sports like football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, kho-kho, and kabaddi are provided.

The two major courses in the stream of teacher education that Parbati Teachers' Training Institute offers are the Bachelor of Education with an approved intake of 100 students and the Diploma in Elementary Education with the capacity for holding 50 students. Both programs are full-time, extending over two years to provide the necessary skills and knowledge for success in teaching. 

The admission process in Parbati Teachers' Training Institute is merit-based, following the policies prescribed by the state government and the affiliated university. Admission to the B.Ed course shall be made based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or an entrance examination. The same is the case with D.El.Ed. The selection is also based on the merits of the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination or any other selection method as prescribed by the State Government or UT administration.
