Parks College of Technology, Tirupur was started in 1993 as an autonomous institution located in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Located on a five-acre land, the college provides 26 courses in ten different degree programs for 1,176 students. This institution is recognised by NAAC and recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Parks College faculty has 77 members which guarantee favorable students-faculty ratio. The college has bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate programmes with specialisations in management, commerce computor applications costume designing and fashion.

To this end, the college aims at ensuring it offers proper habitat for learning that has proper facilities. Under IT infrastructure the institution has four computer laboratories fully air conditioned with computers 215 and internet access. It is a center for information with 24668+ books, 13848+ titles and 28+ journals, 78+magazines. Also there are the software for e-journals and book bank facility for the SC/ST students in the college. The college provides accommodation to the needy students through two separate hostels for males and females respectively and each of them has a capacity of accommodating one hundred and seventy (170) students. These hostels offer pant and plate space and deliver wholesome food and non-snack as well as play space and body-developing and entertainment and special reading-room facility to the inmates.

Thus, total curricular offering at Parks College comprises of 26 courses in the college. These comprise full-time, part-time as well as doctoral programs in numerous specialisations. The college offers 10 undergraduate programmes, 6 postgraduate programs, and 5 each of M.Phil and Ph.D. Some of the more popular programmes are MBA, B.Com with Computer Applications, BBA, B.Sc Computer Science, M.Sc (Costume Design & Fashion). Thus, the total student intake across all the courses is 1,176, also admitting that the college promote the right capacity for learning.

The criteria of admission at Parks College differ according to the programme of study. For MBA programme admission tests are conducted through TANCET, or consortium exams for the particular course. The college also has provision for acceptance of scores of other standard entrance tests different for various courses.
