36 MonthsThe food industry is one of the most essential fields which has created a place of significance for experts who are able to deliver the food needs of the society through an active engagement in food production and distribution processes to ensure the maintainance of quality and the wellness of the people. The Faculty of Engineering offers a three year Diploma program in Food Technology which endevours to impart within the students a unique understanding of the various aspects of the field. The curriculum of this program has been strategically designed in such a way which allows the students to learn the fundamentals along with the most entry level knowledge into the mechanism and processing of the food industry. The recent advancements in technology have opened up new avenues of scientifc innovations through the genetically modified food items and this has made it essential to have personnel who are equipped with the essential knowledge when it comes to handling the needs of the industry. Through this program the students will get to learn the various aspects of food inspection, quality assurance, product development and food regulation with an engaging training experience from the University's state of the art laboratories and research facilities in preparation of their careers.
Candidate shall have passed 10th Examination with English,Maths and Science subjects with an aggregate of 35% in these 3 subjects from a recognized board.
