Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

PIM, the Poornaprajna Institute of Management was founded in 2006 which is an affiliated college in Udupi, Karnataka. This institution affiliated to the AICTE provides MBA course and is NAAC accredited college. Located on a small plot of 1.31 acres of land, PIM has a total of 109 students, where students of each genders were almost equally represented with 45% being male and 55% female students. Currently, there is 7 members in the faculty of institute and only one postgraduate degree programme with 60 seats for admission are offered.

Under the PIM, there are several facilities, which aims to improve the student facilities. The institute provides hostels for both boys and girls for out station students as well as it has well equipped facilities. Digital and physical resources are available in a library for students, and a special reading area is also available for students to do comprehensive research. The campus possess excellent IT facility and includes computerized lab with related accessories, 

LCD projectors etc for efficient teaching and learning. The currently, students can participate in extra curricular activities such as sports and games which are facilitated by sports facilities provided by the college, equally, there is a spacious auditorium for events or seminars. Students can also have a clean cafeteria with choices of meals and then enough rates are charged.

The institute’s premier course is its full time MBA program for which it has the approved strength of 60 students and a duration of two years. This program is aimed at order to equip the students with tools to start in the ever evolving business environment, and it exposes the students to many areas of management. PIM aims at developing a synergy between skills and knowledge with a view of prepare graduates for professional practice.

Poornaprajna Institute of Management has standard procedures in the admission process which have do with scores obtained in national and state level entrance examination. As per the-notification of the Government of Karnataka Additional common entrance tests are compulsory for the prospective students. The scores of several exams are accepted by PIM which includes CAT (Common Admission Test), CMAT (Common Management Admission Test), MAT (Management Aptitude Test) and KMAT (Karnataka Management Aptitude Test). 

These exams are undertaken once in a year for CAT, CMAT for January, MAT for February, May, September and December and KMAT in July and November. It also provides scholarships as well as information from 2022 reveals that only two students out of one hundred and nine postgraduate students got their reimbursements. PIM is closely associated with its alumni organization, which helps graduating students to find a job and serves as an alumni network for current students.
