The Priyadarshni Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research and is now one of the prestigious institutions of pharmacy education in the State of Andhra Pradesh. It imparts education at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in pharmacy with diverse aspects of pharmaceutical sciences and research. The admission process undertaken by the PIPER evaluates and admits deserving candidates for its numerous programs. The admission cycle at PIPER may generally be correlated with the respective academic year, usually commencing from August-September. However, these dates differ from one academic year to the other; hence interested candidates are encouraged to prepare their applications thoroughly in advance, ideally several months before the intake of the first academic session.

Admission for undergraduate programs includes students who have completed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology as core subjects. Candidates for the postgraduate course must possess a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or any of its allied fields from a recognized university. PIPER uses various entrance tests for the admissions to various programs. The scores of GPAT are considered for admission into M.Pharm courses, while other parameters are required for the admissions of pharmacy postgraduates through AP PGECET.

Application Process

PIPER's application process for the program varies according to the program:

For the B.Pharm program:

1. Qualify the relevant state or national pharmacy entrance examination.
2. Visit the official PIPER website and download the application form.
3. Fill in the application form with personal and academic details accurately.
4. Attach relevant supporting documents, including copies of 10+2 mark sheets, entrance exam score card, and any other certificate if applicable.
5. Submit the properly filled application form, along with payment of the application fee, to the institute on or before the last date.

For M.Pharm programs

1. Prepare for either GPAT or AP PGECET.
2. Download the M.Pharm application form from the PIPER website.
3. Fill the form with personal details, academic qualifications along with GPAT/AP PGECET score.
4. Attach any required documents such as the B.Pharm degree certificate, mark sheets, entrance score card, and any other relevant certificates.
5. Submit the application duly completed along with the application fee.

For Pharm.D program:

1. Appear for the relevant pharmacy entrance examination.
2. Collect the Pharm.D application from PIPER website or from the institute.
3. Complete the form with all required information and attach all relevant documents.
4. Submit the application form along with the application fee to the institute before the last date.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharm: The B.Pharm at PIPER is a four-year undergraduate course with an approved intake of 100 students. The admission to this course is based on the performance of the candidate in the relevant state-level or national level entrance examinations conducted for pharmacy. The eligibility criteria state that he/she should have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology.

M.Pharm: M.Pharm programs are offered by PIPER through Pharmaceutical Analysis and Pharmaceutics. The admission to these programs is done mainly based on GPAT or AP PGECET. Candidates must have a B.Pharm degree from a recognized university to be eligible.

Pharm.D: Pharm.D course at PIPER is a 6-year doctoral program in pharmacy; the admission is mainly based on the pharmacy entrance exam rank and 10+2 academic performance.
