Public Mahila Sahar Degree College, Mau, started its journey in 2002 and is an affiliated college situated at Baramadpur, Muhammadabad Gohna, Mau, Uttar Pradesh. It is affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) as shown below This women institution is approved by the NCTE, evidence our tradition of quality education. The total enrolment of students varies around 1,626 and the faculty members of the college are 70 in number which provide a personal touch to their students. The institute provides three distinct degree programmes: BA, B.Ed, and M.Ed which cuts right across academic disciplines focusing on arts and education. The college has a list of amenities that can complement the learning process of the colleges and university.

Public Mahila Sahar Degree College has 4 courses which are full time course and there all have different course objectives of education. Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme is a three year course which imparts education in humanities. The two Bachelors degree courses: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Masters degree course: Master of Education (M.Ed) serve teacher training needs. The B.Ed programme has an intake capacity of one hundred students and M.Ed has an allowable capacity of fifty students. These numbers are strategic for the college in maintaining the most appropriate class sizes for learning. The total possible capacity of students enroled in various courses offered by the institution is 1,626, however one should understand that the given number consists of students of different year of study. 

Public Mahila Sahar Degree College has a policy of merit base admissions, the performance displayed in the qualifying examinations is taken into consideration.
