Punjab Ayurved Medical College and Hospital, Sri Ganganagar, was established in the year 2008 and it is an affiliated college in Rajasthan, India. Located on the site of around 10.75 acres, this is committed to providing education in Ayurveda and the healthcare system. The college is recognised by the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM) to provide quality education in the filed of Ayurveda. It took an overall capacity of 330 students and a teaching faculty of 35 where potential Ayurvedic practitioners could learn without distractions. It offers only one programme of study, the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) which takes six years to complete and the institution has an approved student capacity of sixty(60) per academic year.
Punjab Ayurved Medical College and Hospital has various amenities with the purpose of improving the student experience and the learning process in the college. These are male and female hostels that would assure adequate hostel accommodation for students from different parts of country. The situated institution has a rich facility of a library to improve the exploration of the students towards Ayurvedic literature and more. Extra facilities in the school include an auditorium that can be used for events and seminar, a cafeteria for break and snack, and IT support add on comfort in learning.
Punjab Ayurved Medical College and Hospital provides full time curriculum and procedure of the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS). This programme is meant to equip the students with deep understanding of Ayurvedic philosophy and practices with a view of preparing them for practice in Ayurvedic medicine. The college takes an intake of 60 students annually in this programme to make sure that the students get personal attention as well as quality education.
The admission in Punjab Ayurved Medical College and Hospital depends more especially to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). This entrance test is therefore important for any aspiring student who wishes to join the institution to pursue Ayurvedic education at national level. NEET scores are accepted by the college to provide a more standardised and central admission process, in conformity to medical education in the country.
