Purbattattva Purushottam Institute of Engineering and Technology is a leading institute which was started in the year, 1999 at tally part of Rourkela in the Odisha state of India. This affiliated college located at Purushottam Vihar, 10th KM, Highway 10, Mandiakudar has been is a center for developing technical professionals for the past twenty years. The engineering and management programmes offered by PIET comprise 8 courses offered across 3 degree levels. Currently the institute has 22 committed faculties and 28 students to cater in order to give individual attention to each one of them. Due to its steadfast pledge to providing quality education, PIET has emerged as an influential contender in the province’s technical education sector.

Established to offer high-quality education, PIET has an imposing, fully equipped library for academic use. Modern information technology facilities in the college enables students to tap with latest technology in this field. Departmental-based specialized laboratories exist to support various disciplines, giving practical experience important for a technical school. For Extracurricular activities and events PIET has a vast auditorium which is one of the best among the entire college. A large number of spectacular sports facilities make immense opportunities for sport lovers to follow their passion. There is also a cafeteria in the campus from where students can order and sit and relax themselves . PIET has a wide and well equipped academic curriculum for students interested in engineering and management. At present it offers 8 full- time courses which are six B. Tech courses, one MCA course and one MBA course. The undertook B.Tech courses include Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Mechanical ,Engineering, Applied Electronics Instrumentation Engineering . These programmes are intended to prepare students for the newest requirements of the market, in terms of skills and knowledge. Though the number of seats available for all these programmes are not clearly available, the total number of students that can be accommodated by the institute is 28 students which show the limited and more focused approach towards students.

The admission process of Purushottam Institute of Engineering and Technology is done effectively and providing fairness on several ways. Although certain details about the admission process are not mentioned it would not be uncommon for most engineering institutes to atleast use national or state level entrance exam marks for B.Tech.
