Purvottar Railway Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 1978 in the district of Saran, Bihar. This institution has been serving the educational needs for the last more than four decades. It caters to 3,017 students with a strength of 57 faculties dealing in different streams of undergraduate programs. 

Purvottar Railway Mahavidyalaya is an abode for a variety of facilities important for complementing the learning environment of its students.
