RIET, Rajasthan Institute of Engineering an Technology, Chittorgarh is a newly born institute as it was set up in the year 2009. This is affiliated college provides various engineering courses in the giant ten acres of land of the college. RIET now holds 187 students, and it has 97 members in the faculty. The institute offers 8 courses under 2 degree programs and focuses on different areas of engineering. Even though the ranking data is not specific, RIET stands ready to offer quality education in technical disciplines to young engineers of the region.

The institute boasts of providing all rounded facility to make learning enjoyable for its students. RIET offers B.Tech programmes full time- 4 and Diploma courses full time- 4 in total totaling 8 courses. The B. Tech programme take four calendar years while the Diploma programs take three calendar years. The institute offers five B.Tech specialisations: Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering etc. Besides, there is also three Diploma programmes offered in Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. One has to note that even though no particular numbers are provided for each course, the total number of students at RIET is one hundred and eighty-seven.

Like any university, the RIET has a different approach to admitting students depending on the program offered. B.Tech programmes on the other hand, have direct admissions from percentage scores of 12th standard and JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). This institute accept score of JEE Main which is one of the national level entrance examination for engineering stream. For Diploma programmes admissions are offered and processed under central counseling by Director of Technical Education, Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
