The Rajiv Gandhi Arts and Science College located in Thavalakuppam, Puducherry, was founded in 1995. This affiliated college has spread in an area of 5 acres and it impart education mostly in the B.A, B.Com and B.Sc faculties. The college has a total of student enrollment of 816 and a total strength of faculties/Brothers Thirty Two to facilitate the best environment for the aspiring students. Affiliated to the Pondicherry University, Rajiv Gandhi College of Arts and Science,Government College is one of the prime institutions in educational map of Puducherry and has got accreditation from NAAC.

Our college has introduced a number of facilities which are fully equipped to improve the learning experience of the students. In the center of these endianities of a well stocked library having more than 3174 books on the subjects like Tamil, English, Mathematics, Commerce, Co-operative Management, Economics, Computer Science and Management etc. It also has computer facilities with internet connection where students can have easy access to a number of source of information.. Rajiv Gandhi Arts and Science College provides five total undergraduate programs altogether, all of which are only the full-time programs. They include B.Com, cooperative management, B.Sc computer science, BCA – Bachelor of computer applications and BBA – Bachelor of business administration. All of these three-year degree programs provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for successful career in the respective tiers. College has oriented itself towards commerce, management and computer science which is an evident revelation of the needs of the current market.

The admission process of Rajiv Gandhi Arts and Science College follows a standard policy towards admission process. Students aspiring to get admission to any of the undergraduate courses offered in the college will write the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses (CUET UG). This paper-based test is used as an entrance examination for different central Universities and associated colleges in India.
