Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering, commonly known as RGCE, was started in the year 2001 at Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college, which is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education or AICTE, provides engineering courses in many fields. The college is situated on a 26-acre campus, in which the college has a favorable environment for achieving academic and personality development. With regards to the student patronage, the college admits 861 students while employing a faculty of 88; thus, there is a substantial student-faculty ratio of 9:01, a promise for quality education.

Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering currently has twelve courses in total with two degree levels in engineering programs. Higher college offers 7 undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering (BE) courses and 2 postgraduate Master of Engineering (ME) courses, which are all full-time. The BE programs offer options in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Automobile Engineering and Petroleum Engineering. In ME at the postgraduate level, the programme available are Computer Science and Engineering and Embedded System Technologies. The total approved intake for all the courses offered is 306; this we have seen shows that the college is determined to continue delivering quality education to as many engineers as is possible.
