The Biotechnology and Intellectual Property Law certification course by IIT Kharagpur is provided by the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law. This course aims to shed light on the interdisciplinary approach between the field of Biotechnology and Intellectual Property Law. It has been designed to provide the learners with an insight into Intellectual Property Laws with a focus on patents. Eligibility Criteria
Work experience
Candidates who are working as faculty members in institutes that are AICTE-QIP approved or are Research Fellows, Postdoc Fellows, Ph.D. Students, Biotech personnel, or Life sciences personnel can apply for this programme.
Education
Candidates should have completed a Master’s degree in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Lifesciences or any other related area in order to pursue the Biotechnology and Intellectual Property Law certification by IIT Kharagpur.
Certification Qualifying Details

Step3: Candidates have to sign up and verify their email before they can proceed further.
Step4: After their account has been made, they have to log in and fill in their profile details.
Step5: Candidates have to select the Biotechnology and Intellectual Property Law course from the dashboard and select Apply Now.
Step6: An e‐mail by the Principal Coordinator/ Convenor/ Organiser will be sent to the shortlisted applicants informing them about the payment procedure and the registration link once the shortlisting has been confirmed.

If due to some technical reason the transaction fails and the amount is debited from the account, kindly do not pay again. Wait for the last transaction to settle. The amount can be refunded or credited to the IITKGP account.
Signing up is a one-time process for applying through the online registration portal. Participants can apply for other programmes using the same ID and Password.
In order to set up their profile, candidates have to provide their personal and educational information. They are also required to upload a clear picture of themselves along with their signature.
After the successful completion of the Biotechnology and Intellectual Property Law course, a course certificate will be provided to the participants by IIT Kharagpur.
