Rana Pratap Physical Teachers Training College was set up in the year of 2000 at Udaipur, Rajasthan. This college for boys and girls is affiliated to the university and offers training in physical education teacher education. The college affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge in Karnataka has been operating from a campus of about 115 acres recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The institute currently offers an aggregate of 200 students and has a total of 10 faculty members providing quality education in physical education to become teachers.

Rana Pratap Physical Teachers Training College has well-equipped centres that intend to improve the exercise process and the total personality of students. The campus has been provided with well-developed laboratories like Physics, Chemistry, Computer, Psychological Testing, Home Science Lab which offer practical learning. An extensive facility, with a collection of more than four thousand volumes of books, newspapers, journals and periodicals is provided for scholarly use. The college also sees to it that students work out with a gym area in the freshman’s hostel containing several exercise machines and apparatus for body building. Other recreational facilities include Hockey, Football, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball and Badminton fields available on the outer field. Also, in an endeavour to provide adequately comfortable accommodation for the college populace it provides a gender sensitive hostel for male and female students separately in case one intends to reside in the campus.

Rana Pratap Physical Teachers Training College currently offers one primary course: the Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed). This is a full time programme that takes two academic years and has an approved capacity of the cohort of one hundred students. The B.P.Ed course is as follows, to provide adequate knowledge and skills to the students in order to shape up their careers as a physical education teacher. Although the college emphasises this distinctive programme, it shows that the institution offers adequate programmes in the field of Physical Education.

The admission criteria of this institute is also based on mark entries for the entrance examination along with the qualifying examination.
