Rangachahi College, Majuli, came into being in 1983 on the world's biggest river island of Majuli, Assam. The co-educational institution sprawls across a green area of 9.2 acres and stands as an affiliated college with the motive of nurturing young minds. The total enrolment of students is 420 in number, while it has only 5 faculty members. It has a variety of courses numbering 11 spread out in 5 degree programs. Accredited by NAAC, Rangachahi College has carved a niche among the best institutions in the country in terms of quality education it imparts to its students across the disciplines of Arts and Sciences and specialised programs in computer applications.

Its impressive array of facilities has been designed to further enhance the learning experience of the students. At the heart of these campuses lies a library that has more than 15,500 books inventory covering multiple disciplines, apart from daily newspapers, magazines, and journals. The library is fully digitalised to satisfy the modern day academic requirements for the students.
