Rashbehari College of Education, Purba Medinipur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

One such institution is Rashbehari College of Education, founded in 2012 and located at Patanda, Panskura, Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. This co-educational institution is an affiliated college approved by the National Council for Teacher Education. The compact campus measures 0.66 acres, and the college has two specialized programs in education with a total enrolment of 362 students. The student-to-teacher ratio is very congenial with its 33 faculty members. 

The college has several amenities to provide for enriching the learning processes of the students. The well-stocked library has more than 29,500 books, 12 journals, and 16 periodicals, together with a collection of CDs and DVDs. It provides reading, lending, and book-bank facilities with modern cataloging and indexing systems. Students have additional facilities for OPAC searching and internet facilities with a broadband connection. The IT infrastructure and laboratory facilities for practical training are also of high standard. There are three hostels for students, one boys' hostel accommodating 60 students and two girls' hostels accommodating 42 students. Other facilities offered are a subsidized canteen, a well-equipped seminar-cum-auditorium for seminars and cultural programmed, gymnasium with ultra-modern equipment, sports facilities, health centre with first aid, and guest room to accommodate visiting faculty members and other family members.

Rashbehari College of Education offers two full-time courses: B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) and D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education). 

The admission process in Rashbehari College of Education is merit-based, based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. It is in accordance with the admission policy framed and amended from time to time by the State Government of West Bengal and the affiliated University.
