RCRD Kanya Mahavidyalay, Kanpur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

RCRD Kanya Mahavidyalay, Kanpur, was established in the year 2013 as an affiliated college and is spread over 1.26 acres to offer quality teaching-related education. The institution is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, hence maintaining national standards in teacher education. Enrolment of 774 students with a faculty strength of 16, RCRD Kanya Mahavidyalay offers two specialised courses in education. 

Be it the curriculum offered or the modern facilities provided, the commitment of the RCRD Kanya Mahavidyalay towards the development of future educators is evident. The institution offers various facilities for enhancing the learning process for its students. The knowledge hub is made available in the form of a well-stocked library, equipped with all basic needs for the aspiring teacher. The IT infrastructure of the college ensures that students are oriented towards modern education technologies, therefore bridging towards a more technologically driven teaching methodology. Sports facilities are available in promoting physical fitness to balance with academic development. On-campus auditorium has numerous events and seminars, creating a lively atmosphere about academics. Well-equipped laboratories are also in place within the college to facilitate practical learning. It also has a health centre with first-aid facilities for the well-being of students and a guest house that provides accommodation for visiting faculty members and family members of the students. 

RCRD Kanya Mahavidyalaya imparts two full-time courses in the field of education with an intake capacity of 150 students annually. The B.Ed course has an intake of 100 students and is designed to prepare graduates for teaching at the secondary and senior secondary levels. Another course offered here is the Diploma in Elementary Education, which trains teachers for primary education. It has an intake of 50 students. Both courses are full-time two-year courses that would provide rigorous training in pedagogical skills and educational theories

The admission procedure in RCRD Kanya Mahavidyalaya is based on merit, following the marks attained in qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests. The admission policy is governed by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh and the affiliated University.
