Regent Institute of Science and Technology, was started in the year 2012 at North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. This affiliated college, sprawling across a 2-acre campus, has carved out a niche in the technical education sector. Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, RIST offers varied ranges of diploma programmes catering to the needs of the ever-changing engineering sector. This ideal learning environment has been provided with 42 faculty members and a student enrolment of 901.

RIST runs a total of 5 full-time diploma courses in engineering, and all are of 3 years duration. These programmes are offered in key areas of engineering, such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. 

The admission procedure in RIST is transparent and purely merit-based. This institute accepts the test scores of JEXPO, which at the state level, is an entrance examination for admission to diploma courses of Engineering and Technology.
