Residential Girls' Polytechnic, Golaghat was established in 1996 in Pulibor, Golaghat, Assam. This affiliated college is an all-women technical institute approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. It offers diploma programs with specializations to young women who want to pursue a career in engineering. Spread over a vast campus of 37 acres, the institute has a total intake of 85 students with a faculty strength of 2 at present. The polytechnic offers two diploma courses in Textile Design and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering—adoubtedly an evidence of its penchant for arming young women with skill sets that straddle traditional and modern areas of technology. 

The institute has a number of facilities that help enrich students' learning experiences and overall development. Two girls' hostels accommodate 120 students, providing a safe and congenial environment for out-of-town learners. Its college library is well-stocked with textbooks, reference materials, and journals covering various engineering subjects, sciences, and humanities. This knowledge repository is regularly updated by the continuous inflow of regular government grants and alumni donations. Well-equipped laboratories are available for practical learning, catering to different departments. Modern IT infrastructure with high speed Wi-Fi connectivity is also available in the campus to keep the students updated with the latest technological trends. 

Residential Girls' Polytechnic, Golaghat, offers the following two diploma courses, each of three years duration. The total intake capacity of the institute is 60, out of which 30 seats are allocated to each course. These courses help a person to have a very strong foundation in the respective field and also help to have successful careers in the fastly changing technological era.
