Roever Engineering College (REC), which was started in the year of 2001, is an affiliated college made in Perambalur, Tamil Nadu. The women’s college is approved by AICTE with engineering courses offered across a vast area of 25 acres. According to the records, REC has a total of 1,123 students where 96% of them are under graduates and only 4% are post graduates. The college also continues to house 112 faculty members, consequently affording a healthy student to faculty relationship. REC has broken into three degree programs that cover 11 courses of engineering that includes Computer science, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics and Biotechnology.

The college has facilities to maintain student learning to higher levels, that are endowed with advanced technology. REC has a computerised library with over a 30,000 books and 300 Journal subscriptions, to suit the different facilities needs. Some of the facilities include well equipped laboratories that include an English Communication Lab that improves the student’s language proficiency. The college has a facility of internet to probe more about the technologies for those use technology more than 300 computer and wireless connectivity all over the campus. REC also aims at the provision of necessary amenities for the students through the provision of sporting facilities for the various games as well as a gymnasium.

Roever Engineering College has developed competitive programmes and has course offerings in 6 undergraduate and 4 graduate programmes. The undergraduate programmes therefore cuts across various engineering disciplines including Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology & Biochemical Engineering and Chemical & Process Engineering. At the postgraduate level needed specialised courses which are M.E in VLSI Design & CAD CAM Computer science and engineering, Power Electronics & Drives and MCA programme. The total sanctioned capacity for all the courses for intake is 520 seats and maximum of 90 seats for BE-CSE.

The admission requirements to study at Roever Engineering College are relatively easy to come by. TANCET score is used for admission to all the undergraduate programmes of the college. Application for admission to the postgraduate programme, including the MCA programme, requires the candidate to sit for an interview with an Admissions Representative of the college. The Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA-PG) is also valid for post graduate programme.
