Rungta College of Science and Technology was established in the year 2000 at Durg, Chhattisgarh. Being a co-educational affiliated college with a campus of 2.68 acres, it provides a coupling of 21 courses through 12 degree programmes. RCST is an institution duly accredited under the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, assuring quality education. The college offers a professional backdrop for candidates interested in fields ranging from Education to Management, Computer Applications, and Sciences, with an enrolment of 699 students every year.

The admissions at RCST will be based on merit and will be transparent. For most of the courses, admission is granted based on the qualifying examination marks. Although, in the case of B.Ed. and M.Ed., consideration can be given to entrance examinations or the policy framed by the state government and the university. All the streams of students can apply for BBA and BCA.
