Sacred Heart College Thrissur was set up in the year of 1980 and it is an affiliated college situated at Chalakudy – Kerala. Located on a sprawling campus of 26 acres of land, this NAAC accredited institution provide a host of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The college enrollments 1,192 students and faculty members, 70, enable a favorable atmosphere for the achievement of academic success. Sacred Heart College presents 18 subjects in the framework of 6 courses in arts, sciences, and commerce.

The college currently has cutting edge facilities that help compliment the learning process. It has a large library that contains more than one book twenty four thousand four hundred and fifty books and seventy journals for student’s use. Modern well equipped laboratory in Zoology, Physics and Chemistry enables the student practical experiments. From the college facilities, the college has established two computer laboratories for use by both undergraduate and postgraduate students in their ICT needs. In extracurricular activities, there is a multi purpose field, 400m 8 lane track, respective sports courts, and gymnasium. The college also has an auditorium where cultural activities, seminars etc are held also the college has a canteen where all sorts of food and drinks are available.

Overall, Sacred Heart College has eighteen courses and these are formed out of undergraduate and postgraduate classes. The college offers 18 undergraduate full courses and 7 postgraduate courses. Total number of students enrolled in all courses is one thousand one hundred and ninety two, of which seven hundred and seventy are undergraduate students while one hundred and eighty eight are postgraduate students. The college had 958 graduates in the total number of students in the college for the most recent academic year.

The admission in Sacred Heart College is strictly merit base as prescribed by the University of Calicut. However, there are no specific dates when examinations take place, but the college admits students in different courses all year. It has endowed scholarship programmes to eligible and needy students reimbursing 144 undergraduate and 20 post graduate students during the academic year 2022. 

Sacred Heart College boasts of having a diversified learners’ enrollment, particularly in the gender stand as all its learners are females in both undergraduate and postgraduate classes. Under graduate courses also enrolled 3 international students out of which all are from India and the college is ready to accept international students.
