Sairam College of Education is a well –known teacher training institution in Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu state of India and it started its journey in the year 2005. Notably, the institution has accessed impressive information technology resources, it has 25 computers and other tools such as multimedia like overhead projectors, slide projectors, LCD projectors and other audio-visual equipment to match modern teaching facilities.
Sairam College of Education currently offers one primary course: The Bachelors of Education also known of B.Ed programme . This is a two year full course having an intake of one hundred students and is an indication of the institutions ridge in producing quality teachers. Mentioned programme aims at preparing students for successful practising in teaching profession by providing them with relevant pedagogical competencies. Though the college presently has only one degree programme, the planned system covers all areas that would provide students with a broad and intensive training.
