Sanatan Dharam College, Barnala, is a co-educational affiliated college that came into existence in 1956 in Barnala, Punjab, India. This college is recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and it has been imparting education to the student community of the region for more than half a century. Located at a 26000 sq m area at a railway crossing, Barnala Road, the college has multidiscipline undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Sanatan Dharam College has an enrolment of 2400 students and 69 faculty members, which brings effective learning environment for students and faculties.

The college has several facilities, the aim of which is to complement the learning process of students. The library was founded in 1958 and is expected to provide all departments with various types of books, magazines, and electronic databases. The functions of the library are automated using the international open-source software KOHA, which facilitates information access. To the lovers of sports and games, the college has a large play field for playgrounds set for cricket, football, and basketball. It also invests in technology development with client-pro IT facilities to meet the contemporary education systems. The facilities available for the students’ use include a gymnasium, a canteen for breaks / fancy, and practical departmental laboratories. The college equally has a health centre with first aid sections for the college community.

Currently, Sanatan Dharam College teaches 11 degrees and over a total of 16 courses in order to accommodate a wide field of studies. These comprise full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for Arts, Commerce, Science, Computer applications, & vocational education. This fact is further proved by its diverse programmes starting from the standard Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) through to B.Voc in Medical Laboratory and Molecular Diagnostics Technology, among others.
