Sanjay Gandhi PG College, Sultanpur, was established in the year 1982 as one of the affiliated colleges situated at Uttar Pradesh. The college has occupied approximately 4.94 acres with ample spaces for academic activities to take place. The college does maintain a very favourable student-teacher ratio, with a total of 923 enrolled students and a faculty strength of 17, making it possible to accord personal attention and provide education of quality.

At the postgraduate level, it offers five MA courses: Ancient History, Sociology, Hindi Literature, Geography, and Home Science. The latter includes two-year programmes that are oriented towards providing in-depth knowledge and expertise in the respective fields.
