Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate College is affiliated with the university that came into existence in 1982. The institute is located in Sarurpur Khurd, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Over four decades of its existence, the institute has been catering to young minds. The university caters to more than 1,052 learners offering a good number of diverse undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The college, being blessed with 19 full-time teachers, enjoys a very good spread of student-teacher ratio, which results in every student enjoying quality education and personal attention.

An independent commodious building houses the library that accommodates more than 100 students at a time. Laboratories In this regard, laboratories, student rooms, the college has got vast infra-structure providing adequate space for accommodation of all games including hockey, football, basketballs, volleyballs, table tennis, badminton and cricket. Inter-class and divisional sports are encouraged and inter-class and inter-divisional annual sports competitions are organised to provide adequate facilities to the students' interests and potentialities in sports. 

Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate College offers a combined total of six courses in the undergraduate and postgraduate degree levels, offering programmes like BA, B.Sc, B.Com (Self-Finance), M.Sc Botany, M.Sc Chemistry and BA in a variety of streams. All of these programmes are full-time and cater to very diverse academic interests and hence diverse career choices. The B.Com Self-Finance programme, being one of the most sought after programmes, could only offer 60 seats. This commitment is maintained, which is reflected through diverse courses at the senior college level and the very supportive atmosphere toward learning in general.
