Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering, Mahagaon, Maharashtra was established in the year 2012. This affiliated college is approved by AICTE and NAAC accredited. Its sprawling campus extends over 50 acres of land. SGMCE, Mahagaon has a total enrollment of 1,305 students with an intake of 5 in B.Tech programs across diversified engineering fields. There is a faculty strength of 58 members thus maintaining a healthy student-faculty ratio.

SGMCE has given due considerations to facilities that would make studying at this college a very pleasant experience. There are separate boys' and girls' hostels that accommodate students who come from outside the towns to pursue their courses. A well-stocked central library, started in 2012, is spread over an area of 4,500 sq. ft. and is equipped with more than 11,265 volumes and 1,745 titles. The library also offers digital resources and subscriptions to journals at both national and international levels. For physical well-being, the college has sports facilities and a gymnasium. Through its IT infrastructure, the institution is permitted to provide free computer education and internet access to keep the students abreast of the latest technological upgradations. Other facilities include a cafeteria, seminar halls with modern teaching aids, laboratories for practical work, and transport facilities for students and staff.

The institute has a total of 5 full-time B.Tech programs, all having 4 years of duration. 

The admission procedure in SGMCE is on the basis of inter-se merit as conducted by the Competent Authority. The college accepts scores of two major entrance exams. They are the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) and the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET).
