Sapient Institute of Management Studies, also know as SIMS, is a modern educational complex situated in Indore, Madhya Pradesh which aims at producing future leaders of business world. With a 4 acre territory available for the campus, SIMS delivers a concentrated setting for students wishing to gain the knowledge and skills needed to enter the management field. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approves the institute to meet the recognised standard of education in India. SIMS offers two post diploma programmes in Management that have a total combined enrollment of 180 students. The institute has a faculty count of 12 qualified working professionals who ensure that students enjoy the benefit of an ideal faculty-student ratio which favours one on one interaction.

SIMS boasts of having provided certain top facilities aimed at complementing the educational needs of its students. The institute has an exclusive library which contains good collection of managerial and electronic material needed for academic and research purpose. With a view of updating the students to the new technological advancement, SIMS has equipped and provided the latest computer node of 120 computers in the college. There is wired as well as wireless Internet connection available in the campus with approximately 1000 nodes connected network for academic communication and research purposes. To support presenting special seminars, guest speakers, and occasions which may be informative, cultural, and recreational in nature, the institute has a central medium known as an auditorium. This is also well understood by SIMS as they also provide the opting for sport section and a neat and well ventilated canteen for students to sit and move freely during their breaks rather than just being stuck up in class rooms studying.

The academic programmes at SIMS are designed in response to the needs of the current business environment. The institute currently offers two full-time postgraduate diploma programmes, PGDM by 120 seats and PGDM Banking & Financial Services by 60 seats. Each of the programmes can be finished within two years and gives students strong knowledge and hands-on experience in the selected disciplines. These courses are geared towards accommodation of the current demanding business world and incorporates theoretical principles with real life experiences.

The admission policy of SIMS is focused on admission of students whose academic performances are strong and who are intended for management positions. The institute provides admission through the following Management Entrance Tests viz. CAT – Common Admission Test, CMAT – Common Management Admission Test, XAT – Xavier Aptitude Test, MAT – Management Admission Test, ATMA – AIMS test for Management Admission, GMAT – Graduate Management Admission Test. The nature of accepted exams enables candidates from different Educational sector to apply hence increases the student diversity.
