Saraswati college of Education, Sehlang, was established in 2006 as a co-educational pre-service teacher training institute. The institution is fully recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education and is affiliated to college located at Charkhi Dadri in the state of Haryana. This institute has a 1.03-acre campus hosting it, with two specialized courses in education, with a total student enrolment of 268 and 13 experienced educators. This ensures a high ratio and quality of individual care.

The facilities it provides are all of the amenities that contribute to learning, that enhance the learning process, and all-round student development. A well-stocked library is provided on the campus, which forms its academic heart. There are over 5,500 books, of which 300 are exclusively reference books, and five educational journals. It has a well-established Information Technology Laboratory consisting of 20 of the latest computer systems along with printers and other equipment. Educational technology gadgets are provided exclusively for aspiring teachers. The belief in physical well-being is reflected in the Boys' and Girls' hostel facilities, a gymnasium and spacious fields for outdoor sports activities for quite a good many. Medical center facilities on campus to ensure health safety for all the students of the institutions. Spaced out auditoriums and seminar halls inside the campus play host to various educational activities, conferences, and cultural programs. A common canteen for students and faculty to provide a much-needed platform for relaxation and socializing.

Saraswati College of Education offers two regular programs: one of two years for 100 students at the Bachelor of Education level, and another two-year program for 50 students at the Diploma of Education level. 

The admission to Saraswati College of Education shall be restricted by the following general principles of fairness and merit: For the B.Ed. course, admission shall strictly be based on the merit of marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination according to the State Government's policies and that of the affiliating University. The college may also adopt additional selection processes to ensure that the most suitable candidates are chosen.
