Saraswati Mahavidyalaya, Etawah was established in the year 1999. It is an affiliated college in Uttar Pradesh, India. The college premises is located near Texi Temple on Gwalior Road. The sprawling campus is compact in size with an area of 1.401 acres. The college is known more for its streams in Teacher Education, with two courses that have a capacity for 296 students. Affiliated to the National Council of Teacher Education, Saraswati Mahavidyalaya has a healthy student-faculty ratio, as a total of 32 qualified and well-experienced teachers help aspiring teachers to learn and master their profession.

Saraswati Mahavidyalaya has a plethora of facilities to help the student fulfil their educational requirements. The B.Ed. prepares students for a career in teaching at the secondary and higher secondary levels with an intake capacity of 100 seats. The D.El.Ed. is specially for training teachers for primary education with an intake capacity of 50 students. Both these programmes are for a two-year duration that provides comprehensive training in shaping the educators of tomorrow. 

Candidates will be admitted to Saraswati Mahavidyalaya on merit, which shall be determined on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The admission policy is in accordance with the rules and policies framed by the state government of Uttar Pradesh and the affiliated university. The admission into the B.Ed. programme is usually made on the basis of candidates having a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum percentage as specified by the concerned regulatory authorities.
