Sarupathar College, Golaghat (1970), is one of the premier educational institutions of Assam, India. This co-educational institution has its campus sprawling over 18.02 acres and provides undergraduate courses in the arts and commerce streams at diverse levels. The college underwent accreditation by NAAC, and under its guidelines, it is one of the affiliated colleges committed to providing quality education. With a total student enrolment of 1,481 and a faculty strength of 30, the college has maintained a commendable student-teacher ratio. This institution offers 12 courses across 3 degrees, with a specialisation in the arts and commerce streams at the institution's level. 

Students are provided with numerous facilities to enrich their learning experiences at the college. A rich resource in academic pursuits is the well-stocked library with more than 10,000 volumes of books, journals, and reference materials. Other facilities on campus include sports, an auditorium for events and seminars, a gym for the health conscious, very good IT infrastructure, and a Wi-Fi-enabled campus. Sarupathar College offers a total of 12 undergraduate courses, all of which are full-time programs. Basically, the institution focuses on BA and B.Com degrees. The intake of the BA program is a maximum with 300 seats, and the B.Com. program has 150 seats. The college also offers specialised majors in some subjects at the BA level in Assamese, English, Economics, Sociology, History, Political Science, and Education. Such specialised courses enable the students to develop deeper studies in their chosen fields.

The admission into Sarupathar College is merit-based and governed by the rules framed by the college. Merit is evaluated based on academic performances in the qualifying examinations. This institution has an active alumni association.
