Sarvajanik College of Physiotherapy, Surat, today ranks among topmost physiotherapy colleges of Gujarat in India. The college has a systematic admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in physiotherapy. Just as the admission system of the college discriminates in filtering the wiser and worthiest among candidates, there develops an open arena for competition for the leftover candidates. Undergraduate admissions to the college take the GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) for state student seats and management seats; thus, admission could be considered reasonable, competitive, and honorable. 

Postgraduate admissions are mainly based on the online entrnace examination conducted by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), whereby the entrance examination judges candidates on the basis of their aptitude and knowledge in physiotherapy with a view of admitting academically the best into advanced programs. Diversity in eligibility for studies in physiotherapy is wide in the college, with various specializations offered as rehabilitation sciences, musculoskeletal sciences, neurological sciences, and cardiopulmonary sciences, leaving students with the option of selecting an area of interest pertaining to physiotherapy. 

Application Process

Sarvajanik College of Physiotherapy conducts admission differently depending on the programs:

For BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy):

1. Appear for the GUJCET examination.
2. Check the college website or admission notice for application dates.
3. Fill out the application form with all necessary personal and academic details.
4. Submit the completed application form with all necessary documents.
5. Wait for the merit list to be published based on GUJCET scores.
6. If selected, complete the admission formalities, including document verification and fee payment.

For MPT Programs:

1. Register for the online entrance test conducted by VNSGU.
2. Appear for the entrance test on the scheduled date.
3. Check the college website or admission notice for application dates after the test results are announced.
4. Fill out the application form for the desired MPT specialization.
5. Submit the completed application form along with required documents, including entrance test scores.
6. Wait for the merit list to be published based on the entrance test performance.
7. If selected, complete the admission formalities, including document verification and fee payment.

Degree Wise Admission Process

BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy): Admission to the BPT program is merit-based and follows the list prepared as per GUJCET scores for state students as well as management students. College intake for BPT is legally approved for 47 seats, which is the flagship course of the institute. 

MPT (Master of Physiotherapy): Sarvajanik College of Physiotherapy offers MPT programs in four specializations:

1. MPT Rehabilitation Sciences
2. MPT Musculoskeletal Sciences
3. MPT Neurological Sciences
4. MPT Cardiopulmonary Sciences

The admission process is the same for all MPT programs. The candidates are selected based on a merit list prepared according to the results of an entrance test conducted online by VNSGU. This examination assesses the aptitude and knowledge in physiotherapy of the candidates, thus ensuring that only the most qualified students are admitted.

The general requirement for admission would include

• Passport-size photograph
• GUJCET scorecard (for BPT)
• VNSGU entrance test scorecard (for MPT)
• Certificates and mark sheets of 10th and 12th standard
• Bachelor's degree certificate and mark sheets (for MPT applicants)
• Domicile certificate, if applicable
• Category certificate, if applicable
• Any other relevant certificate as stated by the institute.
