Sarvajanik College of Physiotherapy, Surat came into existence in the year 2001. One of the leading institutes providing physiotherapy education in Gujarat, India, it is affiliated to K Rita Arts College and is sited at the heart of Surat. The college offers different special programs in physiotherapy. The college has a concentrated learning environment with a total number of students enrolling in the institute at 217, while the faculty strength is at 10. Various courses are offered by the institute, including 5 courses in the 2 different degrees, having a number of specialisations like physiotherapy, for instance, rehabilitation sciences, musculoskeletal sciences, neurological sciences, and much more. In addition to this, various facilities are provided that support the learning process and overall development of the students.

Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls are available on campus. This encourages students coming from all different parts of the country to stay on campus to avoid hassles of finding accommodations elsewhere. A library will be established to stock physiotherapy literature, opening students' ways to a whole array of knowledge. Sarvajanik College of Physiotherapy conducts 5 full-time courses. The institute provides undergraduate and postgraduate in physiotherapy.

The institute's hallmark at Sarvajanik College of Physiotherapy is the program of Bachelor of Physiotherapy with approved intake of 47 seats. At the postgraduate level, this institution offers MPT programmes in specialisation of Rehabilitation Sciences, Musculoskeletal Sciences, Neurological Sciences, and Cardiopulmonary Sciences. Admission at Sarvajanik College of Physiotherapy differs from one to another program. Admission would be based on a merit list prepared in accordance with the scores secured for state student seats and management seats under the GUJCET system for the BPT course.                                  This would help in the proper and competitive selection of aspiring physiotherapists.       

The admissions into the MPT programmes which include specialisations in Rehabilitation Sciences, Musculoskeletal Sciences, Neurological Sciences, Cardiopulmonary Sciences, etc. shall be merit-based. Preparation of Merit list shall be based on online entrance test to be conducted by VNSGU. Entrance Test will test the aptitude and knowledge of the candidate in physiotherapy. This will ensure that only the most meritorious students are admitted into the advanced course.
