SCAD Engineering College, Tirunelveli is one of the well-known colleges, set up in the year 2009 offering engineering courses in the Tamil Nadu, India. This college was started in the year 2003 at SCAD Nagar, Cheranmahadevi and is successfully training the young engineers for the future. From the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the institution receives approval, which means that the institution complies with prevailing standards of technical learning in the country. SCAD Engineering College has a total strength of 85 dedicated professionals on its faculty, hence the students are exposed to a good learning environment.

Currently, SCAD Engineering College provides six BE full-time concentrations consisting of four years in total. These courses are relevant to different engineering disciplines and therefore opens a lot of opportunities for the students. Learners in the college have access to total approved intakes of 480 across their 10 courses. Of these, the BE in Mechanical Engineering has the highest intake with 180 seats, while BE in Civil Engineering has 120 intakes. The other three programmes namely B.E in Computer Science and engineering, B.E Electronics and communication engineering, B.E in Electrical and Electronics engineering take 60 students each. It is for this reason that SCAD Engineering College has the AICTE approval and has made available all the necessary facilities to ensure that it offered quality education to all students who attend the institution.
