School of Legal Studies, LNCT University, Bhopal, was set up in the year 2014 as a part of the conglomerate of Laxmi Narain College of Technology, J K Town, Kolar Road, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. This is a prestigious college with an alumni number of 500 and a Bar Council of India (BCI) approved law college campus located at 25 acres. The school offer six different course in its five degree programmes in order to meet the need of legal profession’s aspirants at different levels. The legal talents identified through the School of Legal Studies are expected to be professionalism oriented, competent and ethical, prepared to practice law.
Facilities available to learners studying at the School of Legal Studies, LNCT University include a diverse range of amenities that seek to improve learners’ learning experience as well as general lives in the university. The institution is equipped with separate hostels for boys and girls, spacious and comfortable air conditioned rooms with internet access throughout the 24/7. These accommodations are further visually developed to include enough space and effective ventilation. There are also common area including LCD, magazines and newspaper in each hostel for student to study and to have relaxed. More to do with the campuses’ facilities, sports lovers will continue to cherish the college having well-developed sporting facilities such as; cricket and football fields, tennis, basketball as well as volleyball courts. For all its academic and cultural activities, the college boasts of a 500 capacity world class auditorium with contemporary audio and visual facilities such as sound and video systems.
The School of Legal Studies is fully equipped with an array of law courses to meet the student’s need and ambitions. There are six full time courses offered by the institution, namely three under graduate courses (LLB, BA LLB and BBA LLB), two postgraduate courses (LLM and LLM in Criminal Law) and one diploma course in Cyber Law. Each of the undergraduate programmes has an approved cohort size of 60 students in order to maintain a reasonable student/faculty ratio. Unfortunately, the characteristics of graduates for the latest year are unknown, however, the number of courses shows that the institution pays much attention to the students and offers them a great number of various courses in order to get a comprehensive preparation for their future profession.
